Armalite Re-Introduces the AR-180

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

If you’re a fan of the Armalite AR-180 rifle (semi-auto version of the AR-18 assault rifle), guess what? It’s BAAaak!!! Armalite has just reintroduced the rifle as the AR180B, and they’ve instituted a few updates.

These include a new polymer lower receiver, AR-15 trigger group, AR-15 style safety and mag release, so the gun now takes standard AR-15 magazines. One can even upgrade the trigger group to a National Match trigger group for an extra $100 if ordered that way from the factory, or $180 extra if ordered "a la carte"(as a separate item), later.

The price? $590 bucks. Pretty cheap for a top notch military style rifle. DefRev only hopes the gun is as good as the original in the reliability department (although we can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be). DefRev is going to try diligently to obain one of these babies for a thorough wringing out, to see how it performs.
