DefRev Follow-Up: Auto Assault-12 (AA-12) Full-Auto Shotgun Videos.

Shotguns by David Crane

DefenseReview has taken the liberty of downloading all of the Auto-Assault-12 (AA-12) full-auto 12-gauge shotgun video clips (shot by MPS, Inc.) onto one of our servers, so our members and readers have these video clips available to them, at their fingertips. It should be noted that these AA12 Shotgun videos are large MPEG files, and will be replaced new smaller-file video clips, once we have them ready to go.

We thought this would be an ideal follow-up for our recently published article on the AA-12 shotgun, titled "Auto Assault-12 Shotgun/FRAG-12 High-Explosive Round Combo/Weapon System?". We hope you enjoy the videos.

Here they are:...

DefRev recommends that you download and save the video clips (below) to your computer, and then launch them from you own system.

Important Video Clip Downloading Instructions (Please follow these steps, to the letter)
: 1) Right-click on the link to the video. 2) Left-click on "Save Target As..." inside the box that pops open to save the video to your "Desktop" or area of choice. 3) Once download is complete and the video file is sitting on your desktop, right-click on the file icon and then left-click on "Play" inside the box that's opened up. This should automatically launch your Microsoft Windows Media player so you can watch the video you've downloaded(at this time, we’re not sure that Apple users will be able to view it). Currently, you cannot view these videos using Quicktime or RealVideo. Remember, you must right-click on one of the links below to download the video you've chosen properly and then you must right-click again on the file icon once you've saved it to your "Desktop" or chosen area, in order to view it using your Microsoft Windows Media Player. This process is different from using the standard clicking method, where you click using the left side of your mouse.

Not very impressed unfortunately. (Score: 1)

While those videos show that it's a working system that seems simple enough to use, they really didn't show how useable the system is in real-world use.
Firing from the hip doesn't do enough to show me how mitigated the felt-recoil might be like. If someone is using the weapon, they will be firing from the shoulder. I would've liked to have seen single shots and short-bursts fired from the shoulder, but not once was the weapon shouldered. It really makes me wonder how comfortable this thing is to use.
It appeared more like they were demonstrating how quickly they could go through all their ammunition rather than the effectiveness of the system altogether.
