Cold Steel’s New Tactical Folder

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Cold Steel Knives has just come out with a brand new tactical folder for 2001 called the Recon 1. We have to say, it looks pretty good.

The Recon 1 appears to be Cold Steel’s most modern tactical folder yet. The new knife represents a real departure, both in terms of blade and handle design, and the way it locks up.

The knife comes with a black teflon-coated AUS-8A blade and Zytel handle, with a pocket clip. What’s particularly interesting is the locking mechanism. Cold Steel calls it the "Ultra Lock", and it is supposed to represent a giant step forward in lock strength for the company. The Recon 1 is available in five different models, representing both tanto and bowie-shaped blades.
