While DefenseReview (DR) was perusing all the latest and greatest SOF tech at Special Operations Forces (SOFIC) 2016, we came across a very interesting hybrid-electric flex-fuel/multi-fuel all-wheel-drive/all-terrain motocross-type military motorcycle called SilentHawk, brought to us by the good folks at Logos Technologies out of Fairfax, Virginia. The Logos Technologies SilentHawk Hybrid-Electric Military Motorcycle is essentially a modified Alta Motors high-performance Redshift MX electric motorcycle with Logos Technologies’ proprietary multi-fuel hybrid system, resulting in a hyper-versatile motocross-type stealth bike that can go anywhere, antytime using any fuel out there (gasoline, JP-5,
JP-8, Jet-A1, propane, AVGAS)–and do it QUIETLY/SILENTLY (about 55 decibels) when necessary. In hybrid-electric fuel mode, it goes up to about 75 dB’s. Oh, and it looks really cool, and looking cool is half the battle

Not only that, but SilentHawk has a 170-mile range on one tank of fuel, and can operate in quiet/silent mode for up to two hours. Pretty badass. In fact, Silent Hawk was one of the most interesting products we saw at the show. We just hope it works as advertised, and is reliable and durable. We’ll try to find out SilentHawk’s top speed, and updat this article accordingly.

We here at Defense Review have never ridden a two-wheel-drive motorcycle, but we’d like to change that as soon as possible.
