The new AK-47/74 RAS by Knight’s Armament Corporation is coming soon. It should allow AK owners to use some of the same goodies that, up until now, have only been applicable to the AR-15/M-16. Optical combat sights, night vision optics, white lights, lasers, forward vertical pistol grip, etc., can all be mounted on the RAS.

The only thing DefRev is concerned about with the AK RAS is the fact that part of the RAS covers the gas tube, so overheat may be a problem. DefRev will contact Knight’s Armament to ask them about this, and report back in this same story, so be sure to check back with us.
