The Strike Industries SI QD Slide Cover Plate (Back Plate) for Glock pistols isn’t the only new product SI has–not be a long shot. , They’ve also deveveloped a REALLY interesting safety/selector switch called the Strike Switch, which is a 60/90-degree AR (AR-15) safety/selector switch with a patent-pending ‘push’/toggle-action selector design and ambi (ambidextrous) upgrade capability for “extreme ergonomics”. Since we here at DefenseReview (DR) are fans of any tactical AR rifle/carbine/SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) accessory, component or part that makes one’s life a little better through quicker, easier weapons handling, we’re really interested in this little puppy.

Until now, the only similar product we’ve had any experience with is the Battle Arms Development BAD-ASS short-throw 45-degree ambi (ambidextrous) safety/selector switch, which we really like. So, we’re interested to see how the SI Strike Switch stacks up in ergonomics and performance. We’re guessing pretty well. The Strike Switch looks pretty badass, in its own right.

action allows one to quickly engage the safety when moving positions without altering the firing grip.

The extended lever arm serves as an index point and thumb rest in either position. End user has the

option to use a 60 or 90 degree throw and is able to configure left, right or ambidextrous operation.
