The following is a Strike Industries press release:
October 14, 2013
Strike Industries introduces it new line of 1911 grips with a slick grey color and comprised of a unique bulk molding compound.
The grips are made of specialized material constructed of anti-water and oil absorption, heat resistant, high impact, and high bending strength polymers.
This material is known as the “steel of polymers” for its incredible durability and shock resistance.
Strike Industries is rolling out these The upgraded grips and color with our top 1911 patterns. Try the classic smooth surface of the Slim line BMC PX-15, the Streamline pattern of the BMC PX-12, or the popular golfball dimpled pattern of the BMC PX-09.
Each BMC PX grip comes in its traditional matte finish, however, a simple dab of silicone oil will give them a slightly darker look.
Now you can get the same texture and comfort from the original PX 09, 12, 15 grips with a new color and new more durable improved material.
