Less size and less weight doesn’t mean less fun, when it comes to your gun. When it comes to tactical firearms, smaller and lighter is often better. Enter the new 78-shot Armatac SAW-LITE (also written SAWLITE) 4179 STANAG 5.56x45mm NATO (5.56mm NATO)/.223 Rem. drum mag (magazine), which is no exception to that rule. DefenseReview (DR) assumes that Armatac Industries will be showing the SAW-LITE at SHOT Show 2011. Defense Review has written about the Armatac SAW-MAG 150-shot double-drum mag on several occasions, most recently when it was used to test the FERFRANS HVLAR IAR-type (Infantry Automatic Weapon-type) piston/op-rod (operating rod) AR carbine (AR-15 carbine).
The Armatac SAW-LITE 78-rounder (78-round mag should be a good bit easier to deal with than the SAWMAG 150-rounder (150-round mag) while shooting on the move/shooting while moving, since it only weighs 1.6 lbs empty, and cuts the onboard ammo weight in half.
