On the subject of Condor plate carriers, and plate carrier packs in general (see here and here), Condor Outdoor Products (COP) also introduced a very interesting new lo-pro/lo-vis (low-profile/low-visibility) plate carrier pack at SHOT Show 2019 called the Condor Pursuit Pack, which not only takes a custom (sized and shaped) Level III hard armor plate in a special pocket/section of the pack allocated for it, but also sports some really nice additional features that DefenseReview (DR) really digs. The first such feature is its very fast zipper entry and total immediate access to the main compartment, which is lightly colored (appeared to be light grey) for easy visualization and identification of its contents.
The second nice and interesting feature is the Condor Pursuit Pack’s patented singular channeled handle system. So, you can grab a strap on any side of the pack, and the handles on the other sides automatically retract flush against the pack. Pretty cool–and handy. There’s even a long flush handle running along the back, padded side (that contacts your pack), so you can easily put the Pursuit Pack on your luggage, while travelling.
The Condor Pursuit Pack also features Velcro loop inside the entire interior of the compartments, for mounting anything you want in there, including pistol and mag holsters. Oh, and it’s also a hydration back, if you want to run a Camelbak hydration bladder.
Defense Review was told that the Condor Pursuit Pack wasn’t quite out at the time of SHOT Show (in late January), but that it would be available soon. We don’t see it on the Condor Outdoor or Condor Elite websites yet, but stay tuned, and keep checkin’ in.
Chris Dunn of Covered Six and Condor Elite also took DR through the Condor Metropolis Briefcase, which has some interesting design aspects of its own, and can also take a Level III hard armor plate. We liked that bag, too.
