If you happened by the Hensoldt booth at SHOT Show 2015, you might have noticed a rather badass-looking AR-type semi-auto quick-take-down .338 Lapua Magnum (LM) anti-materiel/sniper rifle/carbine made by DRD Tactical, alled the KIVAARI. The DRD Kivaari doesn’t just look badass. It IS badass, especially when you consider it’s weight, it’s feature set (including an obvious quick-change barrel system), 10-round capacity (you get two 10-round mags), and the fact that you can break it down and pop it in a backpack. The weapon’s primary controls; the Geissele 2-stage trigger, ambi controls (safety/selector, magazine release button, and bolt catch/release) and left-side non-reciprocating charging handle should make for relatively fast and accurate shooting and reloading.
You even get an M-LOK tactical handguard/rail system and Silencerco QD (Quick-Detach) muzzle break for mounting a muzzle can (silencer/sound suppressor).
