Now, who said nothing good ever comes out of Canada? O.k., well, maybe it was me.

Just kidding.

Anyway, as it happens, a Canadian by the name of Jason de Jong, owner of Argonaut Armament, recently contacted us about this thing. And, while we haven’t gotten a chance to test it yet, I have to say it looks pretty good. It’s called the AR15-870 CQB Stock Adapter. It allows an M4/SOPMOD CQB subcarbine-style telescoping/collapsible buttstock to be mounted to the proven and ubiqitous Remington 870 shotgun. The AR15-870 CQB Stock Adapter is an…

in-line stock. As such, it should provide the same recoil-handling advantages for the Remington 870 shotgun as it does for the AR-15/M16 and M4 Carbine. Price is $139.00 Canadian, which I think works out to about $10 U.S. Kidding again. (Sorry, Jason.)

By the way, the AR15-870 CQB Stock isn’t the only thing Argonaut Armament makes that interests us. DefRev also likes the looks of their Receiver-Length 1913 "Picatinny" Rail that allows for the mounting of the EOTech 550 Series Holographic Diffraction Sight, Aimpoint CompM2 Red Dot optical gunsight, or any of the various 1913 Picatinny-compatible flip-up iron sights currently being offered by A.R.M.S., GG&G, Lewis Machine and Tool, and Knight’s Armament. Price on the receiver-length 1913 Picatinny Rail is $59.99 Canadian.

I just can’t believe something like this is actually coming out of Canada. Are people even still allowed to own combat shotguns up there? Probably not–which means that Argonaut Armament probably needs as much American business as it can get.

So, if you’d like to learn more about Argonaut Armament’s products, or have that old Remington 870 in your closet or weapons locker updated and sexed up a little, you can visit their website by clicking on this link, or you can send an e-mail to Jason de Jong at jason@argonautarmament.com. We didn’t see a phone number listed on the site, but I’m sure Jason can provide one to interested parties.

Interesting products. Definitely worth checking out.
